Newsletter Content Guidelines
For Community Partners Submitting Events and Stories
Athens County Foundation welcomes event listings and stories from community partners that reflect collaboration, participation, and belonging across Athens County. These guidelines help ensure submissions are clear, timely, and aligned with our shared values.
What We’re Looking For
We prioritize content that:
- Highlights collaboration between organizations, residents, or sectors
- Shows how people are invited to participate or feel a sense of belonging
- Centers community impact rather than promotion
- Reflects shared leadership and partnership
Think: Who pulled up a chair? Who was invited in? What changed because people worked together?
Submission Timing
- Events: Submit at least 2–3 weeks before the event date
- Stories: Submit at least 3 weeks before the intended newsletter issue
Early submissions increase the likelihood of inclusion.
Nonprofit Newsletters are sent bi-monthly January, March, May, July, September, and November
