Strengths+Strengths is a special initiative designed to provide nonprofit organizations throughout Athens County with access to professional resources, expert insights, and leading best practices. The goal is to help those who do good do even better. Every organization has strengths and has opportunities to build on those strengths. This program listens to what organizations say they need to get to where they want to go and makes those resources available at no fee. Ultimately, by supporting nonprofit organizations and social sector leaders, we are building the strengths of our county and advancing important mission work in the region.

Prepping Your End-of-Year Fundraising Campaign
As we move into the final two months of the calendar year — the traditional giving season — we can come together to prep for your campaigns. The end of the year represents the most significant giving season for nonprofits — and a powerful opportunity to share impact, inspire generosity, and strengthen relationships with supporters.
This interactive workshop will refresh on key strategies and best practices for an effective end-of-year campaign. We will also discuss some of the specific considerations for this year with the new tax policy changes. Together, we’ll discuss tactics, explore messaging and plan for engagement, planning to ensure consistent, confident outreach. Participants will leave with clear goals, coordinated tools, and a shared understanding of how each person contributes to campaign success.

Looking Ahead; Annual Strategies Matter
Join Carey Schmitt of Plentiful for an interactive session on how intentional annual planning can transform your organization’s effectiveness. Participants will explore practical tools for setting clear priorities, aligning people and resources, and staying adaptable throughout the year. Through guided discussion and collaborative exercises, Carey will help you move beyond “to-do lists” toward a strategy that sustains focus, energy, and impact.
