Recognizing the value of leaders in our county has shaped our approach in recent years. We have intentionally invested in the people and organizations of Athens County, building upon their leadership, investing in their initiatives, and building intentional partnerships that are informed and supported by their expertise.

We have seen tremendous progress as a result: Actors in the county have collaborated on complex challenges and made meaningful and swift progress. One example is our Housing Co-Create group, which quickly launched a homeless shelter project and a housing security fund.
