Estate Planning/Planned Giving Council

PDF Print E-mail

On October 13, 2010, Kelli Bell, Ohio University's Director of Development for Planned Giving and Gifts, and Athens Foundation Director, Susan Urano, hosted a breakfast and discussion about the formation of an Athens County Estate Planning/Planned Giving professional association. Those in attendance discussed bringing people together to work on estate planning and planned gifts, the importance of networking and sharing ideas and challenges, and educating the Athens community on the Council and their goals.

The purpose of the Council is to provide a platform for members to meet quarterly with peers to hear about legislative reforms, share ideas, and learn. Kelli agreed to chair the committee for the first year. During the year, breakfast meetings will be about one hour long with programs crafted to meet the needs of the Council.

Those interested in joining the Estate Giving/Planned Giving Council can contact Susan at (740)594-6061 or Kelli at (740)597-1819.
